Cabo Verde, located 350 miles off the coast of West Africa, is home to nearly a dozen volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean.
As seen on a map, Cape Verde is an arrow-shaped archipelago of 10 islands that look like a bunch of specks dotting the eastern Atlantic. Cabo Verde, or Cape Verde, is perfect for hiking adventures, especially in Santo Antão, where green valleys offer a sweet view of plains of flowers and sugarcane. The country’s mountainous peaks hide these valleys, so look for them with patience.
For beach lovers, Boa Vista, Sal and Maio are the perfect destinations Cabo Verde has to offer. Enjoy the white dunes that blend with the indigo-blue seas.
Cape Verde sits at the crossroads of mid-Atlantic air and sea routes, a strategic location that has been complemented by huge improvements at Mindelo’s harbour and at Sal’s and Praia’s international airports to make the country’s tourism industry boom.
