Global-camper, Hippy-ponderer, Coffee Nut
Rachel is keen to be a global citizen. To understand different ways of living in the world, her travel motto is “be a local”. Her travels revolve around popular local spots and festivals, and cuisine. She spikes her day with coffee, and when she becomes hyperactive, her friends tranquilize her with food and wine. A big fan of nature and photography, she lives by the quote, “Leave nothing but your footprints, take nothing but your memories.”
A fourth generation of Chinese Malaysian, Rachel is in New Zealand’s most scenic campus to pursue her PhD. True to her interest as a global citizen, she focuses her research on internationalisation of higher education at Zanzibar. Traveling and education feed her curious soul about the world.
